Why Therapy?

Life can be a rich, full and passionate journey. However, often times it sure doesn't feel like it, does it?

Instead of experiencing the joy-filled life that we were promised by our teachers, our parents, TV commercials and in church...we often feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or stuck in the same destructive patterns.

The good news is that we don't have to stay in this turmoil. We really can work through these struggles and challenges of life. In therapy we can explore your struggles, your hopes, and your goals...and together we'll develop specific strategies to help you achieve those goals.

Don't keep putting it off. Choose today to pursue your best life!

About

As a former international minister in the 1990's, I have a long history of working with individuals wrestling through the tough struggles of life. After leaving the church in 2000, I wanted to increase my effectiveness in the lives of people in real, tangible ways. While living in Chicago, I pursued and obtained a Master's in Professional Counseling, and subsequently became an Illinois Licensed Professional Counselor. I moved to San Francisco 12 years ago, continued my work and education, and ultimateley became a Californiia Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#MFC53274) working in private practice.

Some of my areas of focus include:

  • Depression & Anxiety
  • Relationship Issues
  • Internet Addiction
  • LGBT Issues
  • Religious Trauma
  • Substance Abuse
